Public Meeting on Amendment 3, Proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant - Thursday, October 15th @ 7:00pm
The Town of Pierson is hosting a public meeting on Thursday, October 15th at 7:00pm in the Town Hall auditorium to discuss Amendment 3, as well as the potential construction of a wastewater treatment plant. We are encouraging our residents and neighbors to attend, ask questions, and provide feedback.
Amendment 3 is on the ballot in November. The Amendment contains more than the increased homestead exemption. Several residents have asked the Town to answer questions about what the passage of Amendment 3 would mean for our local municipality, and for its residents.
The sewer system and wastewater treatment plant we will be discussing has been in a design phase for a few years. That design is now complete and the Town must decide if it will proceed to the construction phase. As with Amendment 3, residents will likely have many questions about the purpose of the sewer system, its cost, and what that means for Town residents going forward.
Please attend if you are able to do so. Feedback from our citizens is vital as we move forward with discussions regarding these issues.
