Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Clinton, Greene, Montgomery, Warren Counties

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Clinton, Greene, Montgomery, and Warren Counties until 8:45 PM EDT tonight, September 20. The National Weather Service in Wilmington warns of a severe thunderstorm capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts.

At 8:06 PM EDT, the severe thunderstorm was located over Miamisburg, moving east at 30 mph. Expect damage to trees and power lines. Locations impacted include Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Fairborn, Xenia, Miamisburg, Springboro, and surrounding communities.

Residents are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building for protection. Remain alert for a possible tornado; if a tornado is spotted, immediately go to a basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

The warning is in effect for Northern Warren County, Northwestern Clinton County, Greene County, and Southeastern Montgomery County. This includes portions of I-71 (mile markers 45-49) and I-75 (mile markers 38-58).
