Thank you for your interest in applying to become an elections worker in the November 3, 2026 General Election. Your participation is vital to the democratic process. Three Types of Positions Available: Temporary Election Worker - Some full-time and some part-time roles available that include some weekends for 60 days beginning in September. Duties include, but not limited to: assisting with equipment preparation, drop box retrievals, voter registration support, ballot processing and the canvass process (post-election review and verification of ballots before results are certified). Vote Center Worker - Work at vote centers starting as soon as October 24 (most vote centers open beginning October 31, and all are open on Election Day. Vote center workers help check in voters, issue ballots and ensure a smooth and secure voting experience for the public. Student Poll Worker - Open to high school students age 16 and up. Work on Election Day. Help check-in voters, answer questions and pick up ballots. Must be able to attend training Oct. 31 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Ballot Processing Center, 12740 Loma Rica Drive, Grass Valley. Oct. 15 deadline to apply.
