This page is designed to make the budget process easy to understand and accessible to everyone. Here, you can explore the Proposed Budget, Tentative Budget, Alternate Budget, and supporting documents to learn how funding decisions are made. Budget workshops were conducted on July 14 and 15, 2026. Meeting recordings, agendas, and complete budget packets for both the Proposed Budget and Alternate Budget are available below for anyone who would like to follow the discussions and review the supporting information. FY 2026-2027 Proposed Budget and Alternate Budget information. The FY 2026–2027 Proposed and Tentative Budget assumes Amendment 3 does not pass and that the 5th and 6th cent local fuel tax is renewed. An Alternate Budget has also been prepared to illustrate the potential impacts to County services should Amendment 3 pass and/or the fuel tax not be renewed. We encourage residents to stay informed, review the available information, and participate in the budget process. The First Budget Public Hearing is scheduled for September 15, 2026, followed by the Final Budget Public Hearing on September 29, 2026, when the Board of County Commissioners will consider adoption of the FY 2026–2027 budget. Public Safety Parks Fire & EMS Support Roads & Infrastructure County Operations Transit Veteran Services Library Services School Safety Partnership: Continued subsidy to local schools to provide Sheriff School Resource Officers and support campus safety. Public Safety Funding The tentative budget continues investing in the people, equipment, and technology that protect our community every day. How the Proposed Budget Will Further Support Public Safety Operations At the end of Calendar Year 2026, ONE additional SCFEMS Ambulance will enter service. At the end of Calendar Year 2027, TWO additional SCFEMS ambulances will become operational. Davenport Planning Commission Meets Monthly

The Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the City Commission on matters relating to planning and development within the City. This includes reviewing plats, zoning changes, variances, and site plans to ensure orderly growth and development in accordance with the City’s Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code. Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 100 S. Monmouth St., Davenport, FL 33837. Agendas are posted on this page the Friday before the meeting. Minutes are available after approval at the following month's meeting.
