Backyard Chicken Keeping Program

Backyard Chicken Keeping Program City ordinances allow the opportunity for City residents who occupy detached single-family homes and duplexes to be able to keep up to six chickens in their backyards. In order to participate in this program, residents must obtain a Backyard Chicken Keeping Permit through the Community Development Department. Please contact Zoning at 407-957-7284 or [email protected] for more information. Please Note: If you wish to obtain a "Backyard Chicken-Keeping" permit, you will need to participate in a "Chicken Keeping" class. The Osceola County UF/IFAS Extension Services offers the "Backyard Poultry Basics" class. Frequently Asked Questions About Backyard Chicken Keeping Backyard Chicken Keeping Classes (Offered in English and in Spanish) Learn how to keep chickens for fun and egg production! Topics covered include: Chicken breeds Raising chicks Designing coops and pens Chicken health and nutrition This class meets the educational requirement for the St. Cloud Backyard Chicken Keeping Program, as well as requirements for other Central Florida city and county urban chicken programs. Participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. One $8 ticket covers all household members. Parkland City Commission to Hold Regular Meeting on April 10th

Notice of Upcoming City Commission Meeting The Parkland City Commission will hold its regular scheduled meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Viva Oviedo Festival cThe ¡Viva Oviedo! Festival is a landmark cultural celebration honoring the vibrant heritage, traditions, and contributions of Americans of Hispanic ancestry. Held at the Oviedo Cultural Center & Amphitheater, the festival brings together families, community leaders, businesses, and cultural performers for a dynamic day of music, food, art, and civic engagement. Rooted in Oviedo’s historic ties to its sister city in Spain and organized by a diverse, nonpartisan Steering Committee of Hispanic leaders, the event celebrates culture while fostering unity, pride, and cross-cultural connection throughout Seminole County.
