WEATHER ALERT: Strong Storm Headed for Gonzalez, Molino

Residents in Baldwin Central, Escambia Inland and Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland and Coastal areas are advised to seek shelter indoors due to a Special Weather Statement issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile, AL. The statement is effective immediately, from 5:07 PM CDT today, September 20, 2026, until 5:45 PM CDT.

A strong thunderstorm was detected by Doppler radar at 5:06 PM CDT, located 7 miles south of Century and moving south at 20 mph. The NWS warns of potential wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea-sized hail. These conditions could lead to downed tree limbs and unsecured outdoor objects being blown around, with minor damage possible.

The storm is expected to impact areas including Gonzalez and Molino. The NWS advises anyone outdoors in the affected areas to consider immediately seeking shelter inside a building until the statement expires at 5:45 PM CDT.
