Dania Launches Virtual Building Inspections

Dania residents and contractors can now use virtual inspections to streamline building permit approvals. The city launched the option Sept. 22, 2026, allowing for remote assessments of construction and renovation projects.

The virtual inspection system enables inspectors to conduct assessments via video calls and digital submissions, which the city expects will reduce wait times. This initiative aims to make the permitting process more efficient and accessible for home improvement and new construction projects.

The program allows for real-time visual confirmation of completed work, often eliminating the need for physical site visits. It accommodates various projects, from minor renovations to substantial construction, provided they meet specific criteria.
