The Miami-Dade Beacon Council will concentrate on shaping the region's economic future by promoting broader opportunity. This strategic focus emerged from a recent Board Retreat where leaders identified key priorities to enhance Miami's long-term competitiveness.
The council will emphasize three core areas: strengthening Miami's business narrative, addressing affordability, education, and infrastructure as critical economic issues, and ensuring economic growth benefits all residents. These goals aim to build a stronger business environment where individuals can build careers and lives locally.
To achieve these objectives, the Beacon Council will continue to convene stakeholders and build consensus around a shared agenda. This includes creating clearer pathways to quality jobs, supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, and strengthening the connection between investment and the local community. Rodrick Miller, President and CEO of the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, stressed the need for intentionality in pursuing future opportunities.
The Beacon Council has partnered with Kaufman Rossin to launch a new Economic Outlook Survey. This survey will capture business sentiment and economic trends, incorporating the perspectives of Miami's business leaders into the region's economic story. Residents and business leaders can participate in the survey to share their insights.
