Somerville Updates Taxicab & Ride-Share Rules 2026
Somerville Borough Council adopted Ordinance #2793-26-0406 on Monday, April 6, 2026, replacing the city's taxicab regulations with new rules covering both traditional taxis and transportation network companies.
The ordinance replaces Chapter 159 with a comprehensive chapter titled "Taxicabs and Transportation Network Companies." Council passed the measure on second reading following a public hearing.
