Residents in Cullman, Madison, Morgan, DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall Counties must secure loose outdoor objects immediately. A High Wind Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Huntsville, effective from 3:53 AM CDT this morning, October 10, until 7:00 PM CDT this evening.

East winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 miles per hour, with localized gusts potentially reaching 50 to 60 miles per hour. These damaging winds are anticipated to bring down trees and power lines, leading to widespread power outages across the affected areas.

Travel conditions will be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The National Weather Service urges everyone to take precautions by securing anything that could be blown around or damaged by the strong winds.
