DRIVERS URGED TO EXERCISE CAUTION: A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Coastal Del Norte and Northern Coastal Humboldt, effective from tonight, October 8, at 10:30 PM PDT until tomorrow, October 9, at 8:00 AM PDT. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Eureka, CA, reports that visibility will be one-quarter mile or less in dense fog.

The advisory specifically affects the Del Norte and Northern Humboldt Coast, with the densest fog expected within 1 mile of the shore along the Highway 101 corridor. The NWS states that fog will become more dense through the night.

Low visibility can create hazardous driving conditions. All drivers are advised to slow down, use their headlights, and maintain plenty of distance from other vehicles. Allow extra time to reach your destination.
