Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Corson, Dewey SD Until 7:45 AM CDT

Residents of Corson and Dewey Counties, South Dakota, are advised to seek immediate shelter due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Aberdeen. This warning is in effect until 7:45 AM CDT today, September 28th.
The NWS reported at 6:27 AM MDT that a severe thunderstorm was located near Trail City, approximately 14 miles east of Timber Lake, moving northeast at 30 mph. The primary hazards associated with this storm are 60 mph wind gusts and small hail. Radar has indicated these conditions.
Impacts from this storm are expected to include damage to roofs, siding, and trees. The severe thunderstorm is anticipated to be near Glencross around 6:30 AM MDT and Trail City around 6:35 AM MDT.
The NWS advises anyone in the affected area to seek shelter inside a well-built structure and to stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
