JULIAETTA — Gary and Sandy Stonecipher of Juliaetta, a quaint community in the Palouse region near Moscow, are dedicating their senior years to the preservation and public enjoyment of the Juliaetta Castle, also known as the Snyder Castle.

Perched on a hill overlooking the small town, the historic structure has become a passion project for the couple. The Stoneciphers open their doors daily, welcoming visitors to explore the unusual building and learn about its unique architecture and history.

The castle was originally built by Dr. Snyder. The Stoneciphers frequently share stories of its past, ensuring the legacy of the Juliaetta landmark continues for future generations in Latah County.
