Elected Officials The City of Bonita Springs operates under a Council/Manager form of government. City Council is comprised of seven elected officials: a Mayor and six City Council members representing six separate districts. The Mayor and City Council members serve four-year terms. Elections for City Council are held in November of even-numbered years. The City Council is the legislative body responsible for establishing policies, approving budgets, enacting ordinances and resolutions, and appointing the City Manager and City Attorney. Meetings Regular City Council meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 9101 Bonita Beach Road. Workshop meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 9101 Bonita Beach Road. Individuals who would like to address City Council during the public comment portion of a meeting must complete a speaker registration form prior to the start of the meeting. Speaker registration forms are available in the City Clerk’s office.
