Coral Gables native Gabriela Pino, a Gulliver Preparatory School alumna, champions environmental sustainability with innovative solutions. Growing up in the city, Pino developed a mission to combat ocean pollution. Pino, who graduated from Gulliver in 2013, continued her focus on environmental issues at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. Her studies informed her current work, which aims to bring tangible change to environmental challenges. Her primary initiative is the Ecopod Kiosk, a zero-waste concept she co-founded with her father, Henry Pino. The venture offers communities sustainable alternatives to reduce their environmental footprint and promote a circular economy. Pino plans to expand Ecopod’s reach and impact. She credits Gulliver Preparatory School with providing a strong foundation for her environmental advocacy.
