Diving Medicine Education: Courses & Events

Residents interested in diving medicine can access a range of courses and educational materials. Offerings include town hall meetings, journal-based continuing medical education, and scientific meetings primarily associated with the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) and its chapters.

Past and upcoming educational events include the UHMS Pacific Chapter's 2023 Town Hall Meeting on Diving Medicine ($90). Upcoming 2024 events are 'Thoracic and Pulmonary Issues in Diving' ($180) and the UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting ($382.50).

For 2025, educational opportunities include the 'AsMA-UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting' ($517) and the 'Management of Decompression Illness in Remote Settings' course ($146.25). The UHMS Gulf Coast Chapter will also host a Town Hall Meeting on Diving Medicine ($101.25).

Continuing Medical Education volumes from the UHM Journal are also available. Volume 50, Issue 4, and Volume 51, Issues 1 and 3, each cost $45.
