CONECUH COUNTY – A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Conecuh County, including Evergreen, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL, effective immediately as of October 10 at 1:02 AM CDT. Tropical storm-force winds are expected within the next 36 hours. This warning is in effect until October 10, 2026, at 9:15 AM UTC.

Residents should plan for life-threatening winds with potential gusts up to 60 mph. The NWS indicates a potential for winds ranging from 74 to 110 mph. Now is the time to shelter from these life-threatening winds. Last-minute efforts should focus solely on protecting life, as considerable wind damage is expected.

Major flooding from heavy rain is also a potential threat. Emergency plans should include the possibility of evacuations and rescues. Residents in flood-vulnerable areas should strongly consider protective actions. Heed any flood watches and warnings; failure to act could result in serious injury or loss of life. Rivers and small streams may rapidly overflow, and floodwaters could enter many structures.

Tornadoes are not expected at this time. For more information, contact Conecuh County EMA at 251-578-1921 or visit www.weather.gov/mob.
