North Mankato Water Main Flushing April 6-24

The City of North Mankato will flush water mains from April 6 through April 24, with crews starting in lower North areas April 6 and finishing by April 10. Upper North areas should be completed by April 24, weather permitting.

Flushing removes sediment and minerals that accumulate in water mains over time. Residents may see temporary water discoloration while work occurs in their area, but the water remains safe to drink. Residents should wait to do laundry until water runs clear to avoid staining.

Drivers should avoid driving through flowing water near hydrants, as water releases at high pressure and can damage vehicles.
