High Wind Warning: Secure Loose Objects, Power Outages Expected
A High Wind Warning is in effect until Saturday morning for Eastern Toole, Liberty, Hill, Northern Blaine, and Western and Central Chouteau Counties, with gusts up to 65 mph expected to cause power outages and difficult travel.
Residents in Eastern Toole and Liberty, Hill County, Northern Blaine County, and Western and Central Chouteau County are advised to secure loose objects immediately due to a High Wind Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Great Falls MT.
The warning is in effect from 9:48 PM MDT tonight, September 25, until 6:00 AM MDT Saturday, September 26. West winds are expected to reach 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
The NWS Great Falls MT warns that these damaging winds will likely blow down trees and power lines, with widespread power outages anticipated. Travel will be difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles.
People are urged to secure any outdoor items that could be moved or damaged by the strong winds. Be prepared for potential power disruptions and hazardous driving conditions.
