Residents in San Francisco, the Coastal North Bay (including Point Reyes National Seashore), the San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay, and Southern Monterey Bay are advised to drive with extreme caution due to a Dense Fog Advisory. The advisory, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco CA, is in effect from 2:26 AM PDT this morning until 9:00 AM PDT today, October 6th.

Visibility is reported to be one quarter mile or less in the affected areas. This significantly reduced visibility can make driving conditions hazardous. The NWS emphasizes the importance of safety measures during this period.

If you are driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and others. Those commuting this morning should allow extra drive time to reach their destinations safely. The advisory will expire at 9:00 AM PDT.
