Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Region Until 10 AM CDT Today
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for parts of southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, and east central, south central, and southeast South Dakota until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 30. Drivers should slow down and use headlights due to low visibility.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for Lyon, Lincoln, Murray, Nobles, Pipestone, and Rock counties in southwest Minnesota; Dixon County in northeast Nebraska; and Brookings, Charles Mix, Clay, Davison, Douglas, Gregory, Hanson, Hutchinson, Kingsbury, Lake, Lincoln, Miner, Minnehaha, Moody, Turner, Union, Yankton, and Bon Homme counties in South Dakota until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 30.
The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, SD, issued the advisory due to visibility of one quarter mile or less at times in dense fog. This condition can make driving hazardous, with rapidly changing visibility.
If you are driving this morning, slow down, use your headlights, and maintain plenty of distance between your vehicle and others. The advisory is effective immediately and expires at 10:00 AM CDT.
