Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Bottineau, Rolette, McHenry, and Surrounding Areas
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for Bottineau, Rolette, McHenry, and surrounding areas until 12:00 PM CDT today, with visibility expected to be a quarter-mile or less.
Residents in Bottineau, Rolette, McHenry, Pierce, Mercer, Oliver, Sheridan, Wells, Central and Southern Ward/Minot Area, Western McLean, and Eastern McLean counties are advised to exercise caution due to a Dense Fog Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Bismarck, ND.
The advisory is effective immediately, September 29, 2026, at 9:52 AM CDT, and will remain in effect until 12:00 PM CDT today. During this period, visibility is expected to be one-quarter mile or less due to dense fog.
The NWS warns that low visibility will create hazardous driving conditions. If you are driving in the affected areas, you are urged to slow down, use your headlights, and maintain a significant distance from other vehicles.
