Dense Fog Advisory Issued: Drive with Caution Until 10 AM CDT

A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for portions of Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, and South Dakota until 10:00 AM CDT, impacting visibility and making driving conditions hazardous. Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain safe distances.

Residents in Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Cherokee, and Woodbury counties in Iowa; Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Cottonwood, Nobles, Jackson, Pipestone, and Rock counties in Minnesota; Dixon and Dakota counties in Nebraska; and Beadle, Kingsbury, Brookings, Gregory, Jerauld, Sanborn, Miner, Lake, Moody, Brule, Aurora, Davison, Hanson, McCook, Minnehaha, Charles Mix, Douglas, Hutchinson, Turner, Lincoln, Bon Homme, Yankton, Clay, and Union counties in South Dakota are advised to drive with extreme caution due to a Dense Fog Advisory.

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, SD, issued this advisory at 6:32 AM CDT, effective until 10:00 AM CDT today, September 30.

Visibility may be reduced to one-quarter mile or less at times within the dense fog. These conditions can make driving hazardous. If you must drive, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and others.
