Brittons Celebrates 30 Years on Devine Street
Brittons will celebrate three decades at its Devine Street location Saturday with a press conference and fundraiser for Keep the Midlands Beautiful.
The event starts at 10 a.m. at 2818 Devine Street. Councilman Will Brennan and representatives from the City of Columbia Office of Business Opportunities will attend alongside owner Stacy Levinson, a third-generation operator who joined the business at age two.
Perry Lancaster, who has worked at Brittons for 50 years, will also be recognized. The store has operated continuously since 1947.
Brittons has raised $1 million for Columbia charities over the past 30 years and received the "Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year" award in 2025. Customers who donate $10 to Keep the Midlands Beautiful receive 30 percent off one item, excluding tuxedo rentals and Brackish merchandise.
