Join us for the City of La Grange's Annual Spring Cleanup Day!

Join us for the City of La Grange's Annual Spring Cleanup Day! Date: Saturday, April 20, 2024 Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM We will be focusing on cleaning up public parks, streets, and other common areas throughout the city. Trash bags and gloves will be provided at the staging area. Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! If you have any questions, please contact the City Hall at [Phone Number to be specified]. Let's work together to make La Grange shine!

All 16 parks offer lodging facilities that are accessible to people with disabilities. Pricing varies by park. Major credit cards are accepted at all facilities. Please check with each facility about its specific lodging policies. Lodging is available seasonally at most parks, while a few offer accommodations year-round. A two- or three-night minimum stay may apply. Pets, other than service dogs used by people with disabilities, are not allowed in state park buildings. Dogs are are allowed in certain lodging units included in the Cabins for Canines program. Guests must be at least 18 years of age to make a reservation. For safety reasons, all lodging units have occupancy limits that are strictly enforced. Lodging Options Cabins Cabin sizes and amenities vary at each park. Some cabins include a kitchen area with cookware and utensils provided. Linens are sometimes also provided. Some cabins also offer additional amenities, which vary by park. Most have an outdoor picnic table and grill. Outpost Cabins The Outpost cabins at Lake of the Ozarks State Park are in a secluded setting and do not have water. A centralized showerhouse is available year-round. Each cabin sleeps six (no linens) and has a table, a wood-burning stove, electricity, heating, air conditioning, a picnic table and a grill. Premium Camper Cabins The premium camper cabins at Big Lake State Park accommodate up to four adults and two children/youth. They include drive-up parking, a kitchen, bathroom with shower, one bedroom, loft area, heating and cooling. Kitchen amenities include a four-burner electric stove and oven, compact refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, cooking utensils, silverware and dishes for six, and trash cans and trash bags. Guests must bring their own towels, linens, sleeping bags, coffee and filters, and toiletries. Camper Cabins Camper cabins are located in the campground at four state parks. The camper cabins have electricity and feature air conditioning and heat. They accommodate up to four adults and two children/youth. Guests must bring their own bedding. All camper cabins offer an outdoor picnic table and grill. There is no water available in the camper cabins, but guests have access to the campground showerhouse, which is open seasonally from April through October. A vault toilet is available from November through March. Year-round restroom facilities are available at Johnson's Shut-Ins State Park. Guests have access to the campground showerhouse, which is open seasonally from April through October. A vault toilet is available from November through March. Premium Yurt The premium yurts at Table Rock State Park provide an alternative camping experience for up to six people. Each one features a kitchen, a bathroom with a tub/shower, two bedrooms, and heating and cooling. Lake House The lake house at Pomme de Terre State Park includes drive-up parking, a kitchen, a full bathroom, three bedrooms, heating and cooling, TV (local channels), ceiling fans, and a washer and dryer. Bed linens are provided, as are towels in the bathroom. Archaeology Day and Raptor Awareness at Washington State Park 9/12/2026 | WASHINGTON STATE PARK | DE SOTO, Mo. Washington State Park is once again celebrating Missouri Archaeology Month with a day of public archaeology activities. This year's Archaeology Day event will also include a live bird program. This event is cosponsored by Missouri State Parks, the Three Rivers Chapter of the Missouri Archaeological Society and the World Bird Sanctuary. All activities are free and open to the public; there is no need to register. Event schedule: Archaeology activities and demonstrations – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shelter #2 Stop by Shelter #2 in the Big River Day-Use Area to check out a variety of interactive activities and demonstrations. View interesting archaeological artifacts and see demonstrations of flint knapping. Raptor Awareness Program – 11 a.m. at Shelter #2 At 11 a.m., check out the World Bird Sanctuary program Raptor Awareness. Meet some amazing animal ambassadors and learn about topics surrounding raptors. See live birds up close and in flight! Please keep your pets away from Shelter #2 during this program, for the safety of both the birds and your pets. Petroglyph tour – 2 p.m. at the petroglyph site Across From Shelter #1 Join park staff for a guided tour of the petroglyphs, the park's history carved in stone. Learn about the carvings, the culture and community that created them, and what they might mean. Enjoy a short stroll on a covered walkway with interpretive panels highlighting the cultural features. Basket Weaving Classes: Creative Crafters Basket at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site 9/12/2026 AND 9/13/2026 | First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site | St. Charles, MO. Join staff members at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site to make a beautiful handcrafted basket. This event is part of an ongoing series of basket weaving classes held at the site. Each class takes place in the interpretive center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 2026 series goes from February to November, with classes offered on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. All materials are provided, although you may want to bring snacks and a drink. Class size is limited, and online registration is required. Registration for all classes will open on Jan. 31. You may sign up for any day that a particular class is being offered. You may also sign up for multiple classes. Each program has a class fee and a separate registration fee.
