Residents in the Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon and the Foothills of the Blue Mountains of Washington are urged to take immediate steps to protect tender plants from sub-freezing temperatures tonight. A Freeze Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Pendleton, OR, effective now until 10:00 AM PDT tomorrow, October 11.

Temperatures as low as 30 degrees Fahrenheit are expected. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Unprotected outdoor plumbing may also be damaged. The NWS advises taking action now to safeguard vulnerable plants and outdoor water systems.
