A strong thunderstorm is currently tracking near Yoder, Colorado, and residents in northeastern El Paso County, including areas of Monument Ridge and the Colorado Springs vicinity, should prepare for wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch hail. The National Weather Service in Pueblo, CO, issued a Special Weather Statement at 6:21 PM MDT on September 19, 2026, advising of this developing weather.

Doppler radar indicates the storm is moving northeast at 35 mph. The primary hazards are gusty winds, which could dislodge tree limbs and unsecured objects, and minor hail damage to vegetation. This storm is expected to remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern El Paso County.
