Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Collingsworth & Donley Counties Until 8 PM

Residents in Western Collingsworth County and Southeastern Donley County, Texas, are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building immediately due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service in Amarillo.

This warning is in effect until 8:00 PM CDT tonight, September 19, 2026. At 7:02 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hedley, or 11 miles northwest of Memphis, moving northeast at 20 mph.

The storm presents a hazard of 60 mph wind gusts and nickel-sized hail. Minor damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible. Locations impacted include Hedley and Quail.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Remain indoors until the warning expires.
