"Tuesday, April 13, 2026 Citrus County Animal Services to Host “Kitten Shower” April 18 CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. (April 13, 2026) — Citrus County Animal Services will host a “Kitten Shower” from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Central Ridge Community Center, 77 Civic Circle, Beverly Hills. The event, modeled after a baby shower, is designed to help the community prepare for “kitten season,” a time of year when large numbers of kittens are born and enter shelters and foster care. Residents are encouraged to attend, donate supplies and learn how to help save kitten lives. Needed items include kitten pate, KMR milk replacer, Miracle Nipples, heating pads, blankets and non-clumping litter. Attendees will have the opportunity to: Learn how to foster kittens and sign up to volunteer with Citrus County Animal Services Receive education on kitten care and lifesaving programs The goal of the Kitten Shower is to increase community involvement ahead of the seasonal influx and ensure more kittens receive the care they need to survive and thrive.
