Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Region Until 11 AM CDT
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for parts of Kansas and Nebraska until 11 AM CDT today, with visibility potentially reduced to one-quarter mile or less, impacting driving conditions.
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for portions of northwest and west central Kansas and southwest Nebraska, effective until 11 AM CDT today, September 28. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Goodland, KS, reports that visibility in affected areas may be reduced to one-quarter mile or less due to dense fog.
The advisory impacts the following counties: Rawlins, Decatur, Norton, Sherman, Thomas, Sheridan, Graham, Wallace, Logan, Gove, Greeley, and Wichita in Kansas, and Red Willow in Nebraska.
Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution. If you are driving within these areas, slow down, use your headlights, and maintain a significant distance from other vehicles. Low visibility conditions can make driving hazardous.
The current Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 11 AM CDT /10 AM MDT/ this morning. A second Dense Fog Advisory is expected to be in effect from 8 AM CDT /7 AM MDT/ to 10 AM CDT /9 AM MDT/ on Tuesday.
