The Cocoa Beach Fire Department maintains a modern fleet of fire apparatus, including engines, a platform tower truck, a light-duty rescue vehicle, and specialized surf rescue units, according to department records. This equipment responds to city emergencies, from residential calls to incidents near the city's pier.
The department’s inventory features two 2025 Sutphen 1500 GPM Fire Engines and a 2019 Sutphen 1500 GPM Fire Engine for primary firefighting. For aerial support and high-angle rescues, the department uses a 2022 Sutphen quint 100' Platform Tower Truck. A 2022 F550 Light Duty Rescue vehicle also serves specialized rescue operations and equipment transport.
In addition to traditional firefighting gear, the Cocoa Beach Fire Department operates two 2024 Yamaha Wave Runner Jet-Ski Surf Rescue Units. These units are crucial for water emergencies along the city's coastline, from Lori Wilson Park to the Patrick Space Force Base boundary, ensuring rapid deployment for swimmers in distress and other water rescue scenarios.
The department also has a 2014 Pierce Dash 1500 GPM reserve Fire Engine. This unit ensures continued firefighting capacity when primary engines undergo maintenance or are otherwise out of service.
