Katye Campbell, representing District 5 on the Brevard County School Board, brings a strong background in public education to her role. Elected in 2018, Campbell taught middle school for seven years in Kentucky and Texas after earning a degree in Music Education from Oklahoma Baptist University.
Campbell and her husband, Jim, moved to Brevard in 2007. Their three children attend Brevard Public Schools.
Before her election, Campbell volunteered extensively in local schools. She served as an A+ volunteer, a piano accompanist, on the music instructional materials adoption committee, and as a substitute teacher. This experience provided her with direct insight into the district's operations and community needs.
