Donna J. Twining, 82, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.Born in Dover, New Hampshire, on January 27, 1944, she was the daughter of Wallace and Lavona Norton Pero. Donna spent many years working as a waitress at Jimmy's Restaurant in Pittsfield, where she formed countless friendships and was known for her warm smile and kind heart.Donna's greatest joy in life was her family. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren at their sporting events and took immense pride in each of their accomplishments. She was also a devoted Mimi to her many beloved grand dogs, who held a special place in her heart.She enjoyed spending time with friends, whether bowling in her league, playing bingo, or sharing stories and laughter. Donna was also a lifelong and devoted Green Bay Packers fan, proudly supporting her team through every season.Donna is survived by her four daughters, Dawn Schowalter and her husband, Christopher, of Roanoke, Virginia; Michele Geyer and her husband, Jeff, of Westminster, Colorado; Tricia Pinard and her husband, John, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts; and Beth Twining and Mark Lester of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Pero, and his wife, Pattie, of Dalton, Massachusetts; her seven grandchildren, Joshua, Cody, Nick, Kayla, Kyle, Lindsay, and Zack; and her three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Flynn, and Russell.She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.A Funeral service will be held, Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton, MA 01226. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery.
