Clearwater OR Technician Wins Habitat for Humanity Home

Tara Sims, an operating room technician at BayCare, has been accepted into Habitat for Humanity's homeownership program. Sims, who has worked at BayCare for over a decade, is a mother of two adult children and grandmother to two young girls, ages 10 and 4.

Sims said she felt "very grateful, excited, thankful" when learning of her acceptance. She studied cosmetology at Central Florida College and has prioritized stability for her family while renting and sharing living spaces.
