Clearwater City Hall officially opened its doors at a new downtown location, 200 S. Myrtle Ave., yesterday. This move consolidates several key city departments into a central facility, aiming to streamline operations for residents.
The City Manager’s Office, City Council administrative offices, City Attorney’s Office, City Clerk’s Office, Human Resources, and Public Communications have all relocated to the new building. This centralizes many of the city's core administrative functions, making it easier for residents to access services and interact with city staff.
While the new City Hall is now operational for administrative functions, finishing touches are still underway. Because of this, City Council meetings and advisory board meetings will continue to be held at the Clearwater Main Library for the time being. The city will announce when these public meetings will transition to the new facility.
The relocation marks a significant step in the city's ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure and improve public services. Residents can now visit the new address for various city-related inquiries and services, although they should note the temporary meeting location for public hearings.
