Home Fellowship Groups

In reference to the early church, we read the following in Acts 2:42:" And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." At Lakeside, we are committed to following the example set by the early church in Acts 2:42. Their regular rhythm of learning, fellowship, prayer, and community is a powerful model for how we want to live as a church. Our home fellowship groups are at the very heart of this vision. These groups are where we find care, connection, and growth as we apply God's Word to our everyday lives. We believe that these home groups are the primary way our church provides shepherding care, helping each of us grow in faith, encourage one another, and deepen relationships. Whether discussing the Sunday sermon, praying for one another, or simply sharing life together, these groups provide genuine connection and support. We strongly encourage every member to get involved. In these smaller settings, we experience Christ's love in meaningful ways and where the body of Christ truly comes alive. If you haven't joined a group, now is the perfect time! We want you to be part of this vibrant community as we continue to grow together. If you have any questions about getting involved, please contact Jack Jenkins ([email protected]) or Oliver Smith ([email protected]). You can also direct any inquiries to the church office. We hope and pray that you will get involved and be a vital part of a home fellowship group, where you can care for and be cared for by others. Pulpit Ministry

EXPOSITORY SERMONS Central to the ministry of Lakeside is the expository (verse by verse) teaching and preaching of the Word of God. For nearly 40 years the pulpit ministry of our church has been characterized by sermons that provide teaching of the Bible in a way that is understandable and applicable to daily life. The word “expository” refers to exposing and bringing out the meaning of the texts of Scripture so that the original intent of the writer is understood. This is accomplished by systematically teaching verse by verse through books of the Bible, with the objective of being accurate in the interpretation, clear in the presentation, and practical in the application. The ultimate purpose of the pulpit ministry of Lakeside is to bring glory to God by helping believers in Christ grow spiritually and to proclaim the gospel to unbelievers.

Children's Ministry at Lakeside Community Chapel

Lakeside Community Chapel: Clearwater, FL > Children's Ministry Children's Ministry Sunday School Psalm 78:4-8 NASB The purpose of the Children's Ministry is to come alongside our parents as they raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Our goal is to be a ministry partner to parents as they carry out their God-given task of raising and training their children in the fear of the Lord and obedience to His word. We desire to join with parents in urging children to turn from their sin and trust in Christ and to follow Him obediently as their Lord and Savior. To this end, the Children's Sunday school classes are provided every Sunday morning for children ages 2-5th grade. Children ages 2-5th grade meet from 9:00 AM - 10:20 AM. Two-and-three-year-olds meet in the main church building, and 5-year-olds through fifth graders meet in the Lakeside Christian School building located at the back of the campus If you are a Lakeside member and are interested in volunteering in this ministry to serve our children and their families, please contact Jason Bruns.
