Clearwater Board of Adjustment and Appeals Hearing Canceled

Clearwater residents should note that the upcoming Board of Adjustment and Appeals (BOAA) hearing has been canceled. The BOAA, a volunteer board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, reviews nonconforming use modifications and variance requests for issues such as setback reductions, lot area reductions, and parking requirement reductions. They also consider requests for type 2 uses, which are specific uses that may not be appropriate without restriction within a particular zoning district.

For those who planned to follow the proceedings, the County typically streams these meetings on YouTube and the Pinellas County website. However, with the cancellation, no live stream will occur. Individuals with questions regarding zoning matters can contact Zoning Staff at Building and Development Review Services by calling (727) 464-5047 or emailing zoning@pinellas.gov.
