Citrus County Alert System: Text & Email Notifications

Citrus County Government launched a direct notification system in May, allowing residents to receive updates on burn bans, water restrictions, landfill closures, transit changes, and building permits via email or text message.

Residents can subscribe at citruscounty.gov/notify to select from eight notification categories: burn ban status, water restrictions, county news, landfill updates, development applications, transit service changes, building division notices, and code compliance matters.

County officials also ask residents to complete the Citrus County Communications Survey at citruscounty.gov/commsurvey to help shape future communication efforts. Contact communications manager Jamie Ang at [email protected] with questions.
