Citrus County Breaks Ground on New Animal Services Facility

Citrus County will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Animal Services facility at 9 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at 3150 W. Woodland Ridge Drive in Lecanto. The public is invited.

Construction is expected to finish in fall 2027. The facility will allow Animal Services to expand operations and improve care, according to Director Colleen Yarbrough.
