Strong Thunderstorm Threatens Pickaway County: Seek Shelter Indoors

At 8:40 PM EDT, NWS radar indicated a strong thunderstorm located near Mount Sterling, moving southeast at 20 mph. This storm presents hazards including wind gusts up to 45 mph and half-inch hail.

Impacts from this storm could include gusty winds strong enough to knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Residents in and around Circleville, Ashville, South Bloomfield, Williamsport, Fox, Darbyville, State Route 138 at US Route 22, and Derby are specifically advised to consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building if outdoors.
