Cincinnati Metro Route 61: Mount Airy to Madeira Bus
Cincinnati Metro will begin service on Route 61 on August 11, offering the first direct bus connection between Mount Airy and Madeira without a downtown transfer.
The route starts on Colerain Avenue in Mount Airy, travels north to Galbraith Road, then heads east to Kenwood Avenue. Buses continue east on Euclid Avenue and finish south on Miami Avenue to downtown Madeira.
Route 61 operates seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with buses every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 45 minutes on weekends.
The route is the third phase of Cincinnati Metro's Reinventing Metro plan, which expands bus service across Hamilton County. The plan routes passengers directly to jobs, healthcare, shopping, and entertainment without requiring trips through downtown Cincinnati.
Madeira received approximately $7 million from Cincinnati Metro to fund infrastructure improvements related to the crosstown bus expansion.
Route schedules and details are available on Cincinnati Metro's website.
