Extreme Heat Warning Issued for San Diego County Inland Valleys
An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for San Diego County Inland Valleys by the NWS San Diego CA, effective until October 8 at 8:00 PM PDT, with dangerous temperatures up to 103 degrees expected.
Residents in San Diego County Inland Valleys are urged to take immediate precautions as an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service San Diego CA. This warning is effective immediately, October 5, at 8:55 PM PDT, and will remain in effect until Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 PM PDT.
Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with high temperatures reaching the mid-90s to 103 degrees Fahrenheit. Overnight lows will also be significantly warm, ranging from the upper 60s to mid-70s. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The National Weather Service advises the public to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and stay out of the sun. Residents should also check on relatives and neighbors to ensure their safety. It is critical not to leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles, as interior temperatures can become lethal within minutes.
