Washington County Commissioner Earns Certified Designation

Washington County Commissioner Ashlynn Marquez earned the Certified County Commissioner designation from the Institute for County Government at the Florida Association of Counties 2026 Annual Conference in Orange County last month.
The voluntary certification program requires 45 hours of coursework in growth management, financial management, ethics, affordable housing, emergency management, and resiliency. Seven commissioners earned the CCC designation at the July ceremony.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to complete the Certified County Commissioner program. I learned so much throughout the experience, and I'm excited to put that knowledge to good use serving Washington County," Marquez said.
The University of Florida/IFAS Extension partners with the Institute for County Government to offer the program across Florida's 67 counties. More information is available at flicg.org.
