Vandalism at Lakesite Park in Chattanooga Under Investigation

Chattanooga police are investigating vandalism at Lakesite Park after city staff discovered damage to restrooms, pavilions, and fire pits during routine inspections.

Vandals also left litter across the grounds. Officers filed police reports for several incidents, and city officials reviewed security camera footage to identify suspects.

"This is disappointing and takes away from a space that belongs to all of us," city officials said in a public notice.

The city urged residents to report suspicious activity to police and asked park users to clean up after themselves and teach children to respect public spaces.
