Stratham Fire Honors Drew Vanderslice and Kyle Saltonstall for Firefighter Certification
Stratham Fire recently celebrated the successful completion of Firefighter I/II certification for two of its dedicated members, EMS Lieutenant Drew Vanderslice and EMT Kyle Saltonstall. They achieved this milestone just before Christmas.
The State of New Hampshire Firefighter I and II course, hosted by Stratham Fire for the Seacoast region including historic Portsmouth, provided essential training. This intensive and physically demanding program equipped Vanderslice and Saltonstall with comprehensive knowledge in fireground operations and safety. The course plays a critical role in certifying much-needed firefighting personnel for area departments, including Stratham Fire.
With this certification, Vanderslice and Saltonstall will now serve as call firefighters, augmenting their existing roles as EMS providers. This expansion of their duties strengthens Stratham Fire’s capacity to respond to emergencies and protect local residents.
Stratham Fire expressed gratitude to Drew Vanderslice and Kyle Saltonstall, along with their families, for the significant time, commitment, and dedication required to achieve this certification. The department recognizes their accomplishment and looks forward to their continued contributions in these expanded roles.
