Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Pierce, King, Thurston, Lewis, and Grays Harbor Counties
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until noon PDT today for Pierce, King, Thurston, Lewis, and Grays Harbor Counties, with visibility expected to be one-half mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions.
Drivers in Pierce, King, Thurston, Lewis, and Grays Harbor Counties should prepare for hazardous driving conditions this morning due to dense fog. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, effective until noon PDT today, October 5th.
The advisory specifically impacts the Grays Harbor County Coast, Lower Chehalis River Valley, Middle Chehalis River Valley, Foothills and Valleys of Pierce and Southern King Counties, Foothills and Valleys of Thurston and Lewis Counties, Lowlands of Lewis and Southern Thurston Counties, Lowlands of Pierce and Southern King Counties, Olympia and Southern Puget Sound, and Willapa and Black Hills.
Visibility is expected to be one-half mile or less in these areas. The NWS advises all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of them. This advisory was issued at 3:58 AM PDT and remains in effect until 12:00 PM PDT on October 5th.
