The Village of Fort Recovery is reminding potential buyers of the terms and conditions for items sold through the online auction platform GovDeals. All items are offered on an "as is, where is" basis, meaning the village makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose of the property.
Buyers are not entitled to any payment for lost profits or any special, direct, indirect, or consequential damages. The village does, however, warrant that the property will conform to its description. Any claims for misdescription must be made before the property is removed.
Payment for winning bids is due no later than five business days from the date of the Buyer's Certificate. All payments must be made electronically through the GovDeals website, with acceptable methods including Wire Transfer, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.
All purchased items must be removed within 10 business days from the date of the Buyer's Certificate. Buyers are responsible for all arrangements, including packing, loading, and transportation. Property removal is permitted between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
The village reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to withdraw an item from auction. If a buyer fails to pay for or remove the property as specified, their Buyer's Certificate deposit will be forfeited.
For additional information or to arrange for item pickup, interested parties can contact Kent Zehringer at 419-375-4701. Bidders are encouraged to inspect property prior to bidding and must adhere to any inspection schedules provided in the asset description.
