Residents across Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Chattooga, Gordon, Floyd, Bartow, and Polk counties should exercise extreme caution this morning due to patchy dense fog. The National Weather Service (NWS) Peachtree City GA has issued a Special Weather Statement effective from 3:00 AM EDT until 10:00 AM EDT today, October 12, 2026.

Visibility may be reduced to less than one-half of a mile in affected areas. The NWS advises drivers to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain extra distance between their vehicle and others. The fog is expected to lift after 10:00 AM EDT.
