Wind Advisory Ends for Portland Metro and Surrounding Areas

The National Weather Service has announced the end of the Wind Advisory for the Portland Metro area and surrounding regions as of 11:00 AM PDT today, September 25, 2026, due to weakening winds.

The Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Portland, OR, has officially ended as of 11:00 AM PDT today, September 25, 2026. The advisory was initially in effect until 11:00 AM PDT.

According to the NWS, winds have weakened across the region as the low weather system responsible for the advisory has moved inland. This has resulted in the cessation of the wind threat for the affected areas.

The advisory covered a wide range of locations, including the Lower Columbia River, Tualatin Valley, West Hills and Chehalem Mountains, Inner Portland Metro, East Portland Metro, Outer Southeast Portland Metro, West Central Willamette Valley, East Central Willamette Valley, Clackamas County Cascade Foothills, Cowlitz County Lowlands, North Clark County Lowlands, Inner Vancouver Metro, East Clark County Lowlands, and South Washington Cascade Foothills.

Residents in these areas are advised that the immediate wind threat has passed.
