The Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Calhoun, Carroll, Crawford, and Sac counties has expired. The National Weather Service (NWS) Des Moines IA reported that the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
The warning, initially effective from 9:57 PM CDT, was allowed to expire at 10:00 PM CDT on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Residents in these areas are advised that the immediate severe weather threat has passed.
